i played piano in front of
a whole bunch
of people

do you know
what it’s like
when the lights
beat down so hard
burn off your makeup
and you’re naked

in front of a whole bunch of people

it’s funny
how far you fall
when you jump
the bridge
but you’re flying for those few
breathless moments

this one time
love was free
and you loved me

and we were naked
together
