This Summer Poem by Molly Lenehan

This Summer

When summer is here and school is no more
Your off to the sea,
and me to the shore.
And during this time i make a silent plea,
for sometime this summer
for there to be you and me.

And as time goes by
my pleas go unheard,
By the angels above,
to them its absurd.
To allow me the love,
that i think i deserve.

This summer your there
and I am stuck here,
you may think its bizarre
but to me,
your not very far.

This summer i look, all day and night
up into,
the sun and moon's great light.

And when i look up,
to where the birds fly.
It makes me feel close
because i know when we both
take a glimpse up high
i know that where ever you are
we share the same sky.
