This World Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

This World

Rating: 1.0

I came into this world inside the molecule of nothingness
I shall depart on the same boat of the spirit
I don't deny that my footsteps will be left on the sand dunes of time
Nor will I regret my presence inside this space-time contraption
I cherish every moment of life, good or bad
I have learnt to see the good in every situation
I have learnt to undress myself of all the bad moments
I have no intention of changing who I am
I can only learn from the classroom of life
And be soaked with the goodness of life
But I won't let the sticky stuff of life to bewitch me
I will restrain myself from the allure of ego
I will resist the charms of materialism
I will not submit to the soft hands of desire
All ideologies and doctrines will be left inside the dustbin of life
All my poems will be left on the doorsteps of life
As a gift to the next generation of dreamers, lovers and seekers
I want to carry only the heart of unconditional Love
Not as a trophy but as a treasure to be cherished
I want to leave this world with a beautiful smile on my face
As a precious gift to my Creator (God)
A testament of my contentment with life
