This World - Poem by Taija Nichole Hoover

I have looked upon this world
Only to see that it is broken
I have seen the way people live
Not realizing that time has been chosen
I have heard children cry for the mothers that have left them for dead
Even now women burn their souls for money in a strangers bed
How has life come to this...
Falling into carnal bliss.....
I see a young girl crying
As I hold her I find that she is dying
For her lovers unfaithful lies
Has bound her loves worse death...and there she'll stay tied
I bied my time waiting for truth
But know I see that it takes on smile to lift a lifetime worth of pain
No longer do I hear Angels tears fall like Rain
