This Year For Christmas Poem by Bryan Seyffert

This Year For Christmas

This year for Christmas we'll be home, it's true
To spend time with loved ones, me and you
There will be laughter, love and hugs all around
But since we're in Texas, no snow on the ground.
The kids will see cousins, grand parents and friends
What a joyous occasion to make amends
To put aside our childish squabble
And eat the Turkey thats had it's last gobble
Sides of greenbeans, taters and corn
Afterwards stories of a young Saviour born
We'll spend a few days visiting here and there
A shame some of you won't be able to share
Then one day we'll load up the car
Wish we didnt have to live so far
Don't be dismayed because we must part
But, take joy in knowing you remain in our heart.
