This Year’s Pain Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

This Year’s Pain

This year’s pain has gotten so cold. Can’t hold my breath or even think. I don’t even know where I am heading?

Every time I look at this calendar, seems like every month is just slipping by.
Time has a funny way of thinking to itself. Even I don’t know what time is, or what place that I am in.

I could be locked up inside of my body and not even knowing what state I am in.
Could it be, that I am insane? Or do you think, it is just in my head.

I believe there is a god above; I bet he is watching me from his throne.
Can he give me another chance, so I could just be me again?

If he did, I’ll be having big smile on my face.
What a second, is that a light that I see?

If it is, I’ll take this years pain and throw it out the door and never look back at it anymore.
