Those Last Words Poem by Michelle Moore

Those Last Words

I feel shattered, broken and bruised
But really, it's my heart that hurts
It's beating against my chest, but it hurts
It is broken, all because of you
Now I'm left to cry on the floor
Seems like you don't even care
You just ignore my cries
You ignore my screams
You just walk by me,
staring at what you've done
I can't breathe
My throat is raw, cracked
All I do is choke
As those last words
run through my shattered mind
