Thought Crime Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Thought Crime

I am a thief of words and idea
I commit the ultimate robbery
All that refracts within this cornea
I do steal to create my poetry

Even drugs to the artistic figure
Overcome one's literary demons
Just like steroids to a body builder
Does cheat to induce his creations

I stand accused of plagiarism
And for this crime I must no doubt confess
Every concept and dogmatism
I will abscond with and couldn't care less

Everything is connected in mind
Separation you will never find
