Dark eyes, dark hair
And scruffy beyond repair.
But I don’t care,
I wonder.

His arms around mine,
Perfectly entwined,
But I’m blocked by his eyes.
What wonder!

And as we dance,
And he tries to romance
Puts me in trance.
Break from wonder.

But how can I know?
Will he ever show?
Let his words flow?
No more wonder?

And then will he stay?
He thought I’d run away
From his past mistake? !
He wonders?

And then there’s another
I’m hiding under cover.
My dreams wake my slumber.
I wonder.

How long will this go on?
Will it ever be gone?
Or will he change my mind forever?
And still these questions I wonder.
