I thought I had forgotten...
Have I, really?
I thought I'd come to hate you;
I could not.
And now, my thoughts are all but misbegotten...
I thought I had forgotten;
I could not.


I thought I'd keep on going,
Summer lily.
I thought I must not love you -
In my heart.
And now, my soul is nothing but bestowing
The thought 'just keep on going'
In my heart.


I thought I could forget 'her';
Would not, freely.
I thought I could not love 'her'
Anymore.
Alas, my heart is but a poor advisor
And I cannot forget 'her'
Anymore.
