Thoughts Poem by Kevin Corella

Thoughts

What thoughts bestow a man before he dies?
The beautifull smile on his wifes face
The smell of his mothers freshly baked pies.
The pride felt as his son wins his race.

The bright moon and starry night he proposed
The joy he felt when his wife said I do
The things in life he shouldn't have oposed
The mistakes he wishes he could undo.

The thoughts in his head start sliping away
As the sand in his hour glass runs out
he pleads with god to allow him to stay
the red blood in his mouth begins to spout

The man accepts death with a open hand
his soul is taken away from this land.
