Threads Of Life Poem by Matt Burgett

Threads Of Life

Take a step back and look at me
And tell me what it is that you really see
Look inside what I call Hell
Deep within my inner shell

Look past the deep blue of my eyes
Find all my points and make them round
Until you reach my threads of life
Until all that is me you have found

This is the only way to let you know
The way it feels to be me
The lengths at which I would go
To make it to eternity

The heart it takes to call me normal
Knows nothing unless they are blind
Were I would kill them leave them there
For no-one else to ever find

Back in a hole used long ago
Were no-one ever ventures
In a place were I can hide my soul
And all my other treasures

So come along a ride with me
Down a path carved by my knife
Be with me were scars are formed
Here in the threads of life
