Threads of Time and Love
Santanu Banerjee
Like fading footsteps on an ancient sand,
Time sweeps away the marks that lovers make,
Yet hearts still thrive beneath its gentle hand,
In love's soft whispers, echoes never break.
The stars above have seen a thousand years,
Where vows were shared beneath a peepal tree,
And though the rivers change, through joy and tears,
Their flowing song speaks of what's meant to be.
The temple bells that ring at break of day,
Resound with love that time cannot erase,
Like waves that crash yet smooth the stone away,
Their tender touch still carves an endless grace.
Though time may wear the world we know apart,
Love builds the sacred temple in each heart.
