Three Stanzas Poem by Austin Jeffrey

Three Stanzas

We are all unsettled souls;
We remain this way until the day of our repose,
So calm, peace, love, success and friends I chose
I asked for a flower and got a rose,
My friends are far away,
But closer are my foes
This is the seventh line…..the story goes
Death wants my picture, someday I will pose,
This is my life; it will someday come to a close.

The flower that smiles today tomorrow dies,
All we wish for tempts and then flies.
Hark at me my friend!
Tis over, infinity now has an end.
I have stepped on the sands of the past and the present,
So, if I leave now, my foot prints will tell
If there are body signs on the wall, it means I also fell.

There is one thing I ask of you,
Go trough you before you act, make your visions blur,
And stare into nothingness. Let your thoughts be imprisoned,
In the island of your mind were Mandela’s will be scared to go
For fear of another experience. See things the way they are,
Not the way they look, Care less of the face value,
Go ahead! But think it trough, appreciate smiles,
Take note of the frown; listen to your heart,
The beats speak in metaphors, peep into the future,
But don’t get caught,
Imagine you laughing, DON’T SMILE!
