Throe - Poem by parth bhansali
in those lonely nights i see your face
i see your face in every face
i close my eyes and there you are
smiling wide like the stars
i look up in heaven and i see u there
why don't u look back even though i stare?
or does it mean that you dont care?
sorry to ask but i'm in despair
you said its not meant to be
what else are you supposed to see?
yeah! you'd like a boy instead of a mad man
and a prince in place where i stand
but be kind to this gentle soul
for the love is real and so old.
'old is gold' - all the wise say
so don't go away if there isn't a better stay
and if you go away then return my heart
though what use are broken shards?
i know you're nice and so gentle
but dont come to me coz i'm mental
i sound selfish all throughout
but deep down inside i want to shout
'i want you not to come to me,
coz there's nothing in this being to see.'
i can't stand and i don't want you to fall
so dont fall for me until i'm above
but then come to me full of love
coz it is for you that i want to fly
and take you up, high in the sky
