Through And Through Poem by Xielgnihhan Amasahdympaehk

Through And Through

“Down the road I travel,
Ages of loneliness ahead,
Upon reaching my destination,
I shall surely climb into bed.

Up the ladder I climb,
Never looking down to earth,
Not wanting to fall down and down,
And ending in a painful rebirth.

Through the tunnel I go,
Always in darkness am I,
Keeping a lantern in my hand,
To keep a shining light nearby.”
