Through Fire And Ice Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Through Fire And Ice

And how I love thee
Underneath the ermine Sun,
Outstretched are his arms to the far-fetched garden
And how I love thee
Over the thousand-fringed harlequin moon
Where the forests utter the secrets of the tumult of the willow
And the shadows are scourged at each of the folds of this foliage;
The romance afire, the insignia of the enigma -
The valley is clothed with a sheathe of trees
As the trees are moored - its roots are impregnable with cataclysm;
I feel the torrential breeze in a stifling pursuit - I persuade you
In a plenitude of the stars at night as you send me in an ethereal transcendence -
I guzzle the relentless darkness as I write you voluminous cantos
Of amaranthine devotion and absolute adoration;
And so I invite you, love - come hither to where I am
And here I shall contrast you to the celestial - they are invidious of your
Endless grace and passionate flame; listen to the clandestine chorus
Of elegiac cicadas - the crooning is cacophonous as they hum
The stultifying solitude that casts the rain into thousand cascading shards
Piercing through the still lands where we stand unscathed.
Do not leave me, even for a moment - I may break things, spiteful things
Even the rue trapped in a silver glass - but this, I am sure of
I solder myself to you like how the things share an automatic fraternization;
Without you, I am a sea without the tidal surge - a station without trains
And passengers dredging for life in places where we find our dreams
Sundered and severed; I lugubriously parry the rain - and in those sizable distances
I see you breaking as I tinker with your lurid walls with the languor of my hands.
And yes, how I love thee
Under the rain and over the clouds gorged with the enmity
Of the tempestuous insurgency of the aeons.
Get here love,
As swift as you can - thunderstruck are the heavens
With your poised and unabashed finesse - you are the flambeau
Of this vale that is encroached by the iniquity of the thieves of love!
Fear not, you will be loved daringly like how one sifts
Through the flames
And you will be loved perpetually like how one hurtles
Through the hoarfrost.

And so, my beloved, my inamorata,
I love you through fire and ice.
