Through Her Eyes Poem by scarlette Phoenix

Through Her Eyes

He says he wants her words
But drama, is all it’ll cause
When she shares it
Out comes the claws

Silence overcomes her
It seems for the best
Until a solution is found
He’s not impressed

Damned if she does
Damned if she don’t
What’s she to do?
Tell her, he won’t

Pouring her heart out
Tears start to flow
He seems most disturbed
As if he just wants to go

No consolable hug
No hanky offered
No show of emotion
As if he’s not affected

With a sigh and a look of disdain
He stares right ahead
It breaks her heart
But she carries on instead

No matter what it is
That she says
She knows he’ll never truly understand
Or accept her ways

All she wants
is to be the best he’s had
To be who he wants
Instead all she does is make him mad

At a loss and devoid
Completely drained
Of emotion and thought
Not even feeling the emptiness of pain

Struggling to find
A balance between
Self and sacrifice for love
For nothing’s clearly seen…
