Through It All. Poem by Mary Rodriguez

Through It All.

Sometimes you can't see what's staring you in the face
It becomes more clear when you retreat to another place
Don't be scared of something you've always wanted
Denying your heart will only leave you feeling haunted
Broken hearts crumbling down
Hard to breath, in my sorrow I drown
Broken promises, Was it a lie?
Puddles form from the tears I cry
Tell me love will return to break the silent waves of pain
All I wish to hear is you'll be mine again
I dare to dream of a life with you
My feelings unwaver and remain true
When our world falls around us and darkness replaces dreams
Love calls us from the brink and warms us with its gleam
Love is what keeps our spirit whole
Without it, the hurt reaches down to the soul
Please hold my hand as we journey to the unknown
Trust in our love, it's something that's always shown
Together we stand and together we fall
I'll remain beside you, through it all
We can face our fears and make all sadness disappear
No matter how little or how long
Our times together keeps our bond strong
This is the way it's suppose to be
Me with you and you with me
When we are together there's equal passion
We share the same deep rooted compassion
You have my heart and I have yours
To you, I'll never close any doors
I want you with me, always and forever
I could never ask for anything better
When I'm with you is when I have a pulse
I know what we have isn't false
Never have I loved anyone as deep as I love you
Please tell me that we are not through...
