Through The Depth Of The Night - Poem by nooshin mohammadi

through the depth of the night
fraught with a thousand sighs
we hold eachother tight
we're not born to fight
now years go by
see our hands are tied
though arms open wide
we find ourselves when we feel lost
muttering: where the story lies?
in the death of the last saunta clause?
or when the last leaves fall?
now years go by
see our hands are tied
though wings open wide
that's why we fly
frozen in the ninth sky
till the last applause
when we never elicit a response
muttering: where the story lies?
somewhere between the earth and the sky
deep through the stars
where dim grows the electric light
and in shining armor rises a night
somewhere between nowhere and goodbye
with our hands tied
though wings open wide we fly
muttering: where the story lies?
through the depth of the night
we hold each other tight
we're not born to fight
now years go by
we keep on we fly
where the white flags fly
till the tall towers fall
burried in their lost pride
neither embarrased nor shy
we keep on we fly
counting the last shining stars
muttering: where the story lies?
...and years go by
