Through The Fog Poem by Shiraz Bautista

Through The Fog

The steel rusts
rivers rush
one last breath
suffocating underneath a haze of indifference

This lifeless aura
piercing the stillness
dampening my disbelief
in our chance to make it out alive

Our greatest fears
thrust into the forefront
our deepest insecurities
crawling from below

Through the fog and rain
a blinding light pushes its way
only to reach us someday
praying it's not too late
