A gambit foretold
Configuration, alienation
Puzzle full of frustration
An enigma's threshold
Forebode


Into this heart
A shrapnel release
Shards of icy torment
Unbalanced upon
Rejections grief
Leaving this soul
Wondering
Was it worth it all?
The residuals
Of being defeated


I still feel beauty
Sense it all
In the deepest of depths
Regions unfounded by ego
Ethereal specters
Of light reborn
Giving life a chance
To flourish
Ascending beyond
Graven thoughts
Into the blue skies
Where the sun finally comes home


And then the warmth
It peeks on through
The voids that once shattered
The realm of this existence
Giving trust to it all
Unconditional, unbridled
Freely flowing
In the skies of something
Eternal, interacting with this faith
A spiritual awakening


Arisen, from this slumber
Beauty kissed me
With its compassionate winds
Angelic odyssey
Flying with wings so brightly lit


And then an epiphany
Death, is not the only way
Into the light
It is all around
Even when it seems to be nowhere
In plain sight


In dreams and imagination
Is where it all resides
To believe in something
Trusting in the prophecy
Of something much better
Than what was ever sensed before


To believe in love
Slowly helps
Solve the riddle of life
No matter how much
Pain was felt

There is something
Beyond the cold

A paradise of endless warmth
Where this nomadic soul
Finally feels at home

Summer winds breezing
Beyond the shade of time
As this heart beams respite
Upon dreams of an endless light
Flying high with wings
Made for an endless flight
Pure love, pure delight
As this voice within
Tells me
Everything will be alright
