Thoughts run through my mind,
What exactly did we find?

Trying to hold back now,

I'm not sure I know how.



Look me in the eyes,

See through my disguise.

Time begins to stand still,

Our needs begin to fill.



In the dark, shines a light,

Let's just make it through the night.

Hold me close to you,

Do just what you do.



Let's take these moments as they come,

Sometimes all we need is someone,

Broken hearts, become lonely souls,

Each slowly stepping into our roles.



Erasing a little pain,

Is the one thing we can gain.

Things don't always last,

Just like in the past.



Lets enjoy this time,

Even as I rhyme.

Good things do come along,

Together we can sing this song.
