Ticking Away Poem by Karissa Earley

Ticking Away

Looking out the window,
She want's to make a change.
Lost and out of place,
Shes become estrange.

She sits and counts the seconds,
Slowly ticking by.
She dreams of far away,
And wishes she could fly.

Her life has no meaning,
Inviting death to come.
Yearning for freedom,
And what she wants to become.

Trapped inside her silence,
She cannot make a sound.
Flooded by her misery,
Forever she will drown.
