Tiger Poem by GORDON BUTCHERS

Tiger

Tiger tiger
In a cage at the zoo,
Out in the wild
Numbers so few.

This is no place
For such a beautiful beast,
You belong in the jungle
Your realm is in the east.

In your kingdom
Under threat from man'
Poachers after your skin
Ignoring the ban.

Clearing the forest
For crops and grazing land,
Will it be to late.
Before we stop and understand.

That your world is shrinking
With every acre we clear,
You need protecting
With extinction so near.
