'Til Death Do Me Part' Poem by Kevin Wang

'Til Death Do Me Part'

break the pride that was once there
scream the indefinites
punch the pillow til it tears apart
as this creeps slowly
step
step

the freezing misery
the chains rattling behind
the flowers withering til a burnt crisp
as these echoes in the night sky
clang
clang

silent but within a deadly grasp
slowly pain takes me apart
as I sing my last words
as the inmates call out
wishing me a farewell
bang
bang

grasping my heart in my hand
twisting my intestines in pure terror
break me away til I drown in the deep end
til death do me part

gritting my teeth
from yelling from a pinch away
strike me terror
til the stroke of midnight
swipes me head clean off its stump
til it tumbles into the hand of Death itself

its last word
its last action
its last...
was but only the carefree smile
of the last thought of lovely
herself...
