Til Peter Nansen - Poem by Jeppe Aakjaer

Tillader de høje Gjæster,
jeg fra min fjærne Plads
— tredive Mile til Vester —
hæver for Nansen mit Glas!

Om Digtning har Flod eller Ebbe,
er vor vel skilt ved en Elv;
men den skulde prygles med Kjæppe,
som bare vil se sig selv.
