Time Poem by Brianna L Wilkinson

Time

Rating: 2.5

Brains drawing a blank,
Able to focus only on time...
Past, present and future running ragged through my mind.
The neurons in my head are being torn at the seams,
I close my eyes and try to concentrate but to no avail my soul leaves.
Left behind an empty being,
Not quite human nor beast,
but acting on impulse now to say the least.
Auto pilot kicks into overdrive,
Left, right, left....cease.

Once again I close my eyes..
In this life mistakes were made,
They were lessons learned in time

Lives rose from the ashes..
Sometime we must burn bridges down,
To separate from the masses.
The past has gone.
Please forgive, forget, and move on.
But remember still,
above all else...use it to remain strong.
The presents here to set you straight.
Clear your head, sit back...embrace it.
Look forward now the figures coming fast,
Prepare yourself to face it.
