Nightshade Starlight

Time - Poem by Nightshade Starlight

Time passes quickly or slowly.
It moves and then its gone.
Each second ticking away,
Forever and for eternity.
We can not get this back,
Not from anyone.
We have our memories
To nurse and cherish,
But we will never be able to
Go back to that moment.
Those single happy moments
That are absolutley perfect.
A time were there are no worries.
A time where nothing
Can go wrong.
We look back on the sad moments
And laugh.
We loook back on the happy moments
And cry.

With each minute that goes,
We watch the world before us.
I can see the world passing by,
As the minutes become hours.
A single thing can become long.
Hours turns into days.
You ask where's it all going?
Days turns into weeks.
How can it be going so fast?
Weeks into years.
Where did my life go?
Years into a century.
Its forever moving,
No matter how hard we may try
We can not get the moment
That we had JUST a second ago, back
For now it is lost in memories
And Time.
