Time Poem by Ibrahim Ibn Salma

Time

Time

Time may play its game,
Love may change its place,
It may lack its zest,
It may disappear without notice.

What remain are the
Silent hours, the speechless moments, the
Whispers of yesterdays,
Gaining strength to celebrate
Our tomorrows,
And-
Outpace our todays.

For now, close your eyes
Until you see me,

And,
Never speak of love,
Your silence will say it loudly.

Oh, how I wish
I could freeze time
When I am with you.
