Time Bombs Poem by Merlin J. McMinn

Time Bombs

Time Bombs were planted beneath cranial folds,
so that when the opposition exerted
enough pressure...
they'd detonate. And they did.
One shot affairs with no allegiance;
'they blew up as well as down.
Alpha and Omega.
Only the passageways suffered...
laceration/mutilation/intimidation.
Defensive scabs crusted.
And the scabs begat the scars...
permanent constriction,
vengeful predictions.
The patients now the practitioners...
bomb factories the besieged.
From Time Bombs to Pipe Bombs,
in recurring harmony.
