we sit together
we remember times passed
our laughs
our fights
our love

we hold hands and look to our children
all we can do is hope
one day they will understand
what love actually is

i know what a small part is
it is you
and it is me
the glow in our faces upon seeing the other

the skip of our heart
the flush of our cheeks
and speed of breath
the quiet hugs
the stolen kisses

our bodies unified
we lay together
and become one together
that is a small part of what love is

and so we stare to each other
i forever yours
you forever mine
i the night
you the day

the stars in my sky
my diamond in the rough
