Time Is A Free Bird Poem by Pushpinder Kaur

Time Is A Free Bird

Time is a free bird
In the space of the mind,
Flitting across ceaselessly
Spiralling through the avenues of time
Unrestricted, untrapped, unbound
Always ready to plunge
Into realms known and unknown
A minuscule fraction of a second
Traversing aeons of experience
With a free lease on memories
It permeates the layers of being
The layers of everything that you are
It sails through the narrowest straits
Effortlessly
You see yourself as a tiny tot
Sailing paper boats in the pools of rain water
The moments of the arrivals of your new borns
Are all one with your own childhood
All paths merge, lives intertwine
All becomes one
A fraction becoming one with eternity
Lurking timeless

Time Is A Free Bird
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Time is a reality, both virtual and real. It may be looked upon as an entrapment or a free bird...
