Time Machine Poem by Optimus Prime

Time Machine

fairy tales of a life not here
and not one stitch alike
with my blood spilled across your floor
he saw nothing of the sort
well her mind dwelled on the previous years
and his mind dwelled on her smile
the voice took hours to subside
but it cushioned his ears with its song
and she still wept over fables
and fables they certainly were
with her heart on the horizon
with it well away from the world
her reach only gave a scratch
which had been buffed out and forgot
and it cracked out all of my ribs
with the puzzle pieces so perfectly set
his knees could only buckle and break
the glare and the gluttony is now all but spent
so go look in the mirror to see him from back then
as I look in the mirror to see you
