Time Never Halts, But Lazily I Care Poem by Michael Strianese

Time Never Halts, But Lazily I Care

Rating: 5.0

today, like every other, will be wasted
I'll lay in bed and time will be wasted

I will watch the sun rise and the sun set
with a bottle in my hands, wasted

meals will be left on tables to harden
stomachs will growl and food will be wasted

no words will be said and no words will be heard
chance of conversation will be wasted

today I will watch the sun rise and fall,
a bottle on my floor, in bed, wasted
