Time Remained, I Did Not. Poem by robert down

Time Remained, I Did Not.

To most it rushes over us like the waves above the pebbles.
They rarely touch except for their quick glimpse into the unknown.
To others is consumes them.
They are rock pools that are smothered until they die.
To her, I did not care what she thought on it.
They are the ones that pretend. They consume without remorse.
This is for her, and not how it was intended, but that happens.
They don't understand.

That doesn't matter, neither does tomorrow.
Right now I am sure, and that fells good to be so decisive over something important.
Today I have learnt. It has unfolded. She knows as do I.
