Time Warp Of Emotions Poem by Michele C. Messina Long

Time Warp Of Emotions

As I gaze out my window
The overcast day
Slows my mind
To a meandering pace.

The cloud’s tears run down
My windowpane
Reflecting sorrows,
Mirroring memories.

Too often I race past
The day, not noticing.
Today, time lingers longer.
Heartbreak waits.

The blues of yesterday
Greet the melancholy of today.
And I am led astray by a rainy day
To a time warp of emotions.
