Time Past
It's too easy to forget
the time before you left
things we did together
disappear in the mist of time
The times I picked a bloom,
chosen for it's long stem
to pin to your costume
and make you my femme.
The constant sounds of music
brings memories of past times
imagining hearing you sing again
brings tears to my breaking heart
The fading light through the pane
takes its toll of the day and reminds me
as the memories of our lives wane
the days spent together seem bourgeoisie
My life without your happy smile
continues to make me lonesome
You made my life worthwhile
everything seemed wholesome
