Timid Times Poem by Hugh Green

Timid Times

Why am I so meek
When I breathe the dragon's breath
I have power, but can't roar
Raise the dead from hellish death

With the magic of a song
Soothe the savage, screaming soul
As the lightning from the sky
And the tears from heaven fall

Yet, inside I am a mouse
When I'm standing next to you
I have not the will to speak
For I fear you

Something new….
