Tin Man Impeached Poem by Genice Lorraine De Fabriciano

Tin Man Impeached

Brains Heart Courage
Where were you?
Oh wizard of peach...
Did they somehow pass you by?

Integrity Truth Honor
None of those ring a bell?
Where were the angels?
Raising hell, I guess.

Conscience Morals Soul
To keep us in check
Don't sound familiar?
Ah, Heck!

Were you scheming when the world blinked?
Finally...you self Impeached!
Peach fuzz much?
Were you tweeting from your think tank pot
When Lifetime Partisan souls were bought?
...at a heavy price!
Concrete evidence vs/lies

You'll go down in history
(like Impeachment!)

When all that most matters
Has surely been instilled
Peach jam filled...
We need not question
Man's motives on Capitol Hill.

But when there's such lacking
Of our most honorable qualities
No man can be above the law
We must have non-partisan backing.

Our freedom is at stake
Agreements we must make
To hold true our protection
In our American Constitution.

You'll go down in history!
(Like Impeachment!)

Now we can breathe
Everything's peachy keen!
Articles 1 and 2
Are All about You!
YES!
You finally get the votes!

This will be yours,
All yours!
Your Impeachment Legacy...

Because you love to lie:
To yourself
To your party
To the world
To us...the US...
(and to a little me)

You'll go down in history! ...
(Like Impeachment!)

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

This is a hilarious but timely riff on the peachiness of impeachment. After reading this, my memory of recent events will forever be linked to the image of a somewhat overripe peach.
