'Tis A Dream, A Dream, Dream Poem by Rich Harney

'Tis A Dream, A Dream, Dream

Why does the dew spill daydrops
On platypus desires?
And angels under bird's feet
Count ruffles in their wings?
And all the day sigh willow tunes
‘ Neath hearts that molting
Breathe,
I'm counting on a windowsill
'Tis a dream, a dream, dream

How the cat in calico comes
Milking on the boat,
Under measures fish have treasures
Minnows dance the blue,
All the while giddy sailors
Wryly sling of note
"Me letter's to a mermaid"
'Tis a dream, a dream, dream

I saw the bottoms of the world
And bottoms of the sky
And fireflies had tears of happy
Clowns could call a ruse
And ghosts had doors of creepers
On the sly,
And sultry silkworms slid down
Rainbow beams
Is darning in the pink socks
What it seams?
I snooze!
'Tis a dream, a dream, dream….
