all the time
we lesser beings
shuffle and jive
hoping to cloud
the issue
and get by
like card sharps
we rely on wit
and fast talk
then sometimes
a line or a scene
from one of those
great ones
comes to mind
and a light shines
on our tawdry nature
revealing our hearts
