To Be Found Poem by Harvey Horst

To Be Found

I ever the narcissist
I ever the proclaimer
I ever the knowledgable
I ever the more full of myself

I know my greatness is only in my head.

I am not the learn'd astronomer
I am not the referenced poet
I am not the stranger
I am not the man who wrote him

I know my words compared to theirs are nothing.

I am not the next great thinker
I am not noted or notable
I am not studied or known
Aye, never known
