Fleet Mercury, the messenger.
Traveling many times around the earth,
Giving notice that what was
Thought to be impossible
Could really be done.

Gemini, the twins.
Adventurous pairs daring to
Step into space;
And later making a
Rendezvous with destiny.

Mighty Apollo, the greatest of all.
In a tribute to those who were lost,
Others leaving the security of home
And chasing the dream- -

To be the first of mankind
To leave their footprints
On the Moon.
