To Burn Or Not To Burn Poem by Edwin Torres

To Burn Or Not To Burn

Rating: 3.5

and here the singer sings of power
of transformation by power
larger yet seated by power

to allow infiltration
intimate filtration
woven to skin's infiltration

to the readiness of a visitor
explaining gesture with visitor
with oscillation in the gesture of visitor

to listen complete
as uneasy to sit as new easy
to sit incomplete

to sync with rogue spirits
to momentary spirit
to a departure in sync out of spirit

to spend time in the body's
determinate body
to engage in the sensory spending of time

to the forces at play
of the one note at play
escaped from its moment of play

to the singer's intention
to sing while intending sing-tention
to sing of intention

to songs of reminding
the singer's reminder
to turn off the song to free the story

from his ear to ours
from his ear to ours
his body appears to his ear as ours

larger than larger
while circling circle
to cover its covering serenade to serenade

the place we sit
with
the place we sit

visitors
in concert with visiting sub-
visiting the concert of visitors
