To Change Your World Poem by Wilhelm Achim

To Change Your World

Here is a story of one boy,
Who watched many others die and destroy,
In the world he will know and the world he will love,
Where everything can be perfect until push comes to shove.

He sees the world has many bugs,
Like strong betrayal, fighting, and drugs,
Knows those people should rethink what they have done,
To turn and make the world more fun.

He came across a small girl one day,
Her skin was pale and her clothes were frayed,
He could give that piece of food in his hand,
But he was too selfish and left her in the sand.

He thought of how he could have dared,
To give to that poor girl something to be spared,
Until he found to his dismay,
That the same girl passed later that day.

He felt the misery that girl would have thought,
So he began to save...
...the treasures he collected all his life,
To place around her grave.

He still feels the winds of depression whip him as they blow,
And he kept it all a secret, for until his death nobody will know.

Find yourself through the rubble,
Set yourself from the trouble,
Think of how that you could change,
How the whole world was arranged.
