To Dad # 2 Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

To Dad # 2

Sometimes I can hear you inside of my head. Not knowing, or where you are?

I know that you are there, just can’t picture you of where you are?
Some how I can see you standing there. But I guess my mind is seeing things.

Or this picture is giving me more memories, of you…. but somehow I know your standing there beside me?

This feeling of you is all I have, just thinking that you are standing right next to me.

All I see now is you, in my head. Just wishing that you were here with me.

Maybe even share some tears together, or even share some words to each other.

I wish that there was, a moment in time. Just a moment to be with you, maybe even I can stand right next to you?

Would you hold my hand, like you did when I was a child. Being with you was everything that I wanted.

So for now, I’ll say goodbye. This is not the end; I’ll see you when the time comes.
