'To Death! ! ...To Death! ! ' Poem by Pietro Grossi

'To Death! ! ...To Death! ! '

Dead penalty, old question, law is wrong or right?
When a person kills someone, must pay with life?
Caino was the first, stained by that crime,
But the Lord didn't kill him, let him survive.

What been reported, let us a bit quake,
Too often people paid others' mistakes:
Population paid for mistakes of its Leaders,
Like sons paid for mistakes of their fathers.

Happened that someone paid, for Court's mistake,
But when the life is gone, you can't remake.
So, when big crime was made, has to be paid,
Which penal size, it's Court that have to say.

What kind of Country you are,
Now comes out bluntly:
You, only strong...or really...
....A Great Country?

What folk demand...we know,
But other thing is law.
It's clear, that you can't greet, crime with a nod
But neither you can't wash..the blood with blood
