To Fly. Poem by R. C. Welford

To Fly.

I walk among these plains of planes,
As night fades, wanders and wanes,
Ghostly waves of thrown pink light,
Scatter splayed sands of white,
And past these silken bones and through,
Charge beasts of blood into sun-strewn blue.
