To Love Or Not To Love - Poem by Virginia Cairns

To love you, my dearest
Is to feast on delicacies forever

To not love you, my friend
Is like chaining me to a wall with no food or water

To love you completely, father
Is to complete me in every way

To not love you, dearest brother
Is to feed me to the vultures

It is pointless to claim to love
But not love you, God

You ARE love
So without you my savior

The most precious word
Is as hollow as can be

So I shall choose entirely
To love you forever

I love you God!
